KATE HARANIS,
ON THE RECORD
I have earned thousands of meaningful media placements, ghostwritten hundreds of bylines and speeches, and trained dozens of senior and rising executives in effective, authentic storytelling.
There’s a reason my clients say I don’t just make them sound better, I actually make them better.
After nearly two decades building effective, action-oriented communications in Fortune 500, nonprofit and agency roles, I founded Haranis & Company to help clients with big goals move faster by building a reputation advantage.
From my start at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to leading corporate public relations at Boston Scientific, years of fundraising, media relations and presentation coaching sharpened by ability to move audiences past awareness into action.
My extensive advocacy and philanthropic experience includes chairing the board of the Children's Trust of Massachusetts, the Commonwealth’s only quasi-public agency focused on preventing child abuse and neglect.
I have previously served in leadership roles with the Environmental Business Council and Junior League of Massachusetts, as professional mentor to the Public Relations Student Society of America Emerson College chapter, and enjoyed additional engagements with 826 Boston, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and The Home for Little Wanderers.
I received my Bachelor of Science in political communication from Emerson College.
When I’m not working, having family dance parties, or cheering on my friends and clients, I’m probably headed to the Pilates studio or starting good trouble at PR Hype Girl.

If you’re ready to get clear on your message and build visibility that actually works.
